The LUGAMA (success) story
Since our foundation over 25 years ago in the well-known holiday region of Lungau, LUGAMA GmbH has been one of the leading full-service providers of commercial kitchen and refrigeration technology in the Salzburg region and is the market leader for cutlery polishing machines in Austria.
- In 1993, the sole proprietorship was incorporated into LUGAMA (Lungauer-Gastronomie-Maschinen) Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH
- In 1997 we took over the exclusive distribution of Hypocampus cutlery polishing machines
- In 2000, our sales and customer service activities were merged in the new business building in Mauterndorf
- In 2001 we started producing the cutlery polishing machine POLISTAR in our factory in Mauterndorf
- In 2002, the excellent quality of the POLISTAR cutlery polishing machine was confirmed with certification by the Austrian TÜV
- 2006 Acquisition of exclusive distribution for HÄLLDE products in Austria
- 2007 Master company for refrigeration and air conditioning technology
- 2008 certified company for refrigeration and air conditioning technology (company certificate BMLFUW-KK-Nr-41)
- 2012 The Knauer family handed over the company to Mag.(FH) Herbert Sampl and DI (FH) Karl-Heinz Schröcker
- 2012 Renamed LUGAMA GmbH
- 2013 New company building with move to the new offices
- 2014 Acquisition of exclusive distribution for VITO frying oil filters in Austria
- 2017 Acquisition of exclusive distribution for Hygenia products in Austria
Today, LUGAMA GmbH serves regular customers in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Australia with innovative products and excellent service. In close cooperation with our manufacturers, our highly trained employees always implement tailor-made and trend-setting solutions for our customers.
